Drawing Studio

“This year’s SIT Program was a groundbreaking experience for all the participants. Despite unprecedented events, we managed to respond to challenging times and generate an abundance of artworks ranging from sketches, anatomical studies, life drawing with a model, storyboards, spatial renderings, 3D modelling and portfolio quality drawings. All this was possible because of the students’ commitment and participation. Their passion for learning has been demonstrated through the discovery of new techniques and drawing methods, and their engagement created a trustworthy and supportive learning environment. Towards the end of the four week program, the Drawing Studio became a hub for sharing feedback, discussing creative ideas, exploring hidden potential and supporting each other.

I am grateful and proud of these young people who managed to exceed the expectations of an online class. They worked from their homes, which were situated on different continents, time zones and working conditions. Nevertheless, they managed to merge new technologies with classical studio practice to develop a strong learning base. I hope they will continue to pursue their quest for knowledge and hope they will carry on experiences from this Studio into the future.”
