Inviting students of all levels of experience, Summer Teens is where students bring their curiosities, interests, and passions for art and design, engaging with their creative peers and distinguished artists, designers, educators and industry professionals, all within a university environment.

What is the ECU Summer Teens Program?

The Junior Arts Institute (JAI) is a 2 week, immersive program for students ages 13-15 years old that builds foundational knowledge, explores a wide range of creative skills and helps prepare students for the Summer Institute for Teens.

The Summer Institute for Teens (SIT) is an immersive, 4 week art and design program for students ages 16-18 years old that provides unique, hands-on learning experiences for young creatives. Students will be exposed to new perspectives, mediums, and methods that will challenge conventional ways of thinking and broaden their creative horizons.
