What happens to the trash that we threw into the ocean? This painting shows a chef cutting sushi with nets and trash coming out from the fish. It shows a cycle of trash where humans throw trash, causing fishes to get unhealthy, and finally humans eating the fishes back. I put fruit nets as garbage on the artwork, showing that the fish has a lot of trash inside it. Sushi shown from the picture shows how it is a very common food for people to eat sea creatures. The greens on the sushi symbolize how sea creatures could be effected by our actions, as well as showing how our actions not only kills animals but make us sick too. I used the acrylic modeling paste to make the fish bones in the middle stick out. I also stuck some nets on top of the bones since the bones has spiky places on it, making it perfect for letting the nets looks like they were pulled and fell out from the fish. The reason I chose cardboard to be the thing I draw on is because cardboard boxes are often thrown into the ocean.
