
Drawing + Illustration SU01
In this dynamic course, students learned to blend the precision of drawing with the narrative power of illustration. They uncovered the world of character design, concept art, and narrative imagery using various traditional mediums like pen and ink, gouache and markers. Whether crafting vivid characters, intricate scenes, or dynamic narratives, students learned how to come up with ideas, where to look for inspiration, and what tools could convey their ideas and emotions visually.

Kathleen Gros is a cartoonist living in Vancouver, BC. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2015. She currently teaches students of all ages at Place Des Art in Coquitlam and teen students at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
