“2020 has been a different kind of year, the online experience has been so rewarding! This year we had sweet sixteen participants, mostly local but a few farther afield – as far away as the Middle East! Time differences were extreme for some, when fourteen students ate breakfast, one ate lunch and another ate dinner.

Together we were a community, navigating this new learning environment. I thank my class for being present and co-operative throughout the four weeks. 

We shared work, ideas and instructor demonstrations in the main classroom. All the students got to know each other better in the smaller “Breakout Rooms”. 

On the last couple of day’s I was busy sorting out a collection of students’ hard work and achievements for a final presentation before we said goodbye. While I studied each of the works’ I felt enormously proud of their achievements, not just the technical aspects of learning Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop but drawing, painting and overall creativity in the work as they responded to the projects, as you will see the quality this year is amazing. Sometimes as instructor I was worried that I couldn’t see what was happening on “the other side” – So here, look carefully at this wonderful collection of inspired Digital Illustrations for your viewing.
