Drawing
In Project 1, students selected and responded to the theme of conflict and violence, using a variety of dry and wet media to develop familiarity with the range of drawing tools. Building on this, the cohort acquired more knowledge about the human figure and its anatomy through visual study, research, and figure-drawing exercises. This culminated in a life-sized project where the students designed their own characters and brought their visuals to life.
In the final project, the students came together in groups, refined their conceptual skills, and meditated on the ideas of alternative futures. Informed by a visit to the Museum of Anthropology, the students studied cultural artifacts and developed their own sculptural visions of future trajectories.
