Painting Studio
Painting Studio
In the Summer Institute for Teens painting studio, students investigated how observed and imaginary spaces and objects can be represented with acrylic paint and mixed media. By encouraging the students to experiment with abstraction and realism, the program aimed to help them develop their unique artistic styles and positions.
Along with building the students technical skills they were challenged to expand their creativity through reflection and feedback sessions, brainstorming and visualising their concepts. The studio took a comprehensive approach by examining historical and contemporary painting practices.
