This painting represents a period of art block, when creating feels distant and motivation fades. The repeated figures shows different internal states existing at the same time, such as awareness, exhaustion, and boredom. Although each figure shares the same body, they feel emotionally disconnected, symbolizing how creativity can come, when inspiration is lost. The enclosed room emphasizes a sense of being stuck, while the light entering through the window suggests inspiration that is present but unreachable. It exists nearby, yet cannot be fully grasped or acted upon. The creeping plants along the walls represent time passing and slow, unnoticed growth, even during moments that feel unproductive. Rather than depicting action or progress, the stillness of the figures highlights pause and inertia. This stillness reflects the frustration of wanting to create but feeling unable to begin. Through this work, I wanted to capture the quiet tension of existing between intention and action, showing how ideas can remain present but suspended, waiting for the moment when motivation and clarity return.
