Artist Statement
“I have always been a creator; whether it was painting, doodling or moulding sticky tac into statues, I have spent most of my life making things. I've always desired to create increasingly unique and technically skilled artwork, which fuels my passion for art and helps me develop as an artist. I mainly work with acrylic on canvas or paper and digital mediums - I especially enjoy painting works with macabre themes. I also use colour themes to experiment with emotional responses to my pieces. These assignments were inspired by dreams, literature and other artists' works. I most often use creative writing and literature as a tool to inspire my imagination. My writing typically draws from my own identity, thoughts and feelings. Consequently, my pieces are reflections of myself in different lights.”

Exploring Texts
“I lost all interest
They saw photographs in delight
Confined, uninspired, practical dullness stirred
I have never known the sensation
Never been aware to make a great fuss
Seeking to please, meaning escaped me”
Little Soul / 18” x 24” / Acrylic on Canvas
Decent little soul
Remember the clatter of pasterns
Past the outriders on the staircase?
Linger to lock all the doors
What else was to be done, for no sensible conclusion
Delusions fall away to nothing but doubt
